Aceing the Brand

Challenge

The Dhirubhai Ambani International School was a brand new idea and a brand new international curriculum for a brand new, but soon to be a coveted academic address in the city of Mumbai. DAIS school promised to bring the best educational facilities to students aspiring to learn an international curriculum. The school required its entire brand system designed to be ready for launch.

Interpretation

A new school requires strong proven credentials in academics, a committed staff, international standard facilities and a trusted brand. The school building and fields were brand new, the labs and facilities modern and connected and the teaching staff were trained to excel. The brand needed this strong foundation to unify the message of educational excellence and credibility.

Solution

A rough idea that our client shared was a central logo framed by two ribbons. We converted this into a shield of excellence and refreshed the visual emblem. We worked with the client team to develop the signage systems, which intelligently doubled up as flash cards, teaching students recognition of numerals through association with objects. We created the entire launch set of collateral and environment branding, stationery, livery and primary and secondary wayfinding systems.

Success

The school is recognised by its emblem as one of the most respected and desired K-12 schools in India. The brand system helped promote a recognisable identity at every touchpoint for the school from the day of its launch.
