The People’s Bank
J&K BANK approached Eumo with a wish to create a people’s bank that addressed the need for entrepreneurship and prosperity while lending itself to the comfort and convenience of its staff and customers, without sacrificing the cultural for the contemporary.
Efficient space management and reorientation of functional spaces allowed an intuitive and efficient interaction with the customer. Our project started with visits to existing branches in urban, district and rural areas of J&K to record our observations and develop a service design relevant to the people of the region. Our design drew upon regional motifs, materials and idioms. Inclusion of local craftsmen in the creation of an inviting bank experience ensured each and every corner of the bank was true to its origins. This program was rolled-out nationwide to create a unifying retail identity for J&K Bank.
