The Panel Discussion
Shanoo Bhatia, Founder Director, Eumo was invited to participate in an panel discussion hosted by the channel to debate the role of design in developing Kirana store retail. There was a lively exchange between our Director and Mr. Harish Bijoor, who was of the opinion that design does not have a role to play in bettering Kirana Stores, as opposed to our Director suggesting that design coupled with design thinking, in organising products into fast-moving versus perishable items and accessibility to the products, decluttering point-of-purchase and smart retail display could help Kirana Stores succeed in an environment threatened by large malls and modern trade.
